Thinking Bigger has chosen the 25 Under 25 class for 2019 and we are proud to announce that four SBTDC clients are among those being honored.
The award is given to Kansas City companies that have 25 or less employees and demonstrate growth and contribution to the KC entrepreneurial community and economy! We are so proud to be part of these companies trajectory:
Fresh Approach Cleaning Professionals founded by Sharon Auck. Sharon was part of our partner program, ScaleUP! Kansas City and works with Jill Hathaway. She says “For us, ScaleUP! has been the pinnacle!! The exposure, support, education and relationships that continued with SBTDC are immeasurable assets in our arsenal!!! We would not be where we are without your services!!! Thank you”.
Midwest Comfort Homes founded by Travis Thonen. Travis has worked with SBTDC and ScaleUP! KC for the past three years. During that time he has tripled his block of business. The company met their 2020 goals TWO years early! Travis raves about his counseling and service from Jill Meyer and Jill Hathaway in our center. He credits this ongoing counseling with many changes that were necessary in the company for the growth they have now experienced!
The Running Well Store founded by Kathy Gates. Kathy says “SBTDC helped me put action items and a plan to many of the ideas that were rolling around in my head. Especially when it came to ways to scale my business, SBTDC helped in guiding me to find the right plan and how to execute that plan”.
Shamerrific Shine founded by Christina Scott. Christina and her partner have been utilizing services at SBTDC offices since 2013! “UMKC Small Business & Technology Development Center has played an important role in the growing of our business! From one-on-one mentoring, helping with financials, and giving business advice, SBTDC has been a great blessing. It can be challenging running a business, so having a resource like SBTDC for business questions, honest opinions and sometimes just a listening ear is a great resource to continue to thrive and grow!”
